if you’re intrested in Joanna Quinn (she’s a british animator, a good one!) check this out:

you can see some sketches and watch videos about how she’s doing animation!

me and a colleague had quite some fun doing one-line drawings!
i really like how it all comes out skew and exaggerated. then i did some doodles in class trying to go for the same style:
didn’t come out quite as nice as the one-line ones, but i still like them.
it’s ashley from “the secret of kells”
..and it was really hard! at first. but after some time it got easier and at the end I even enjoyed doing it :)
This animated Music-Clip for the viennese band “Dust Covered Carpet” was produced as a Group-Project at the University of Fine Arts Vienna and consists of Puppet-Animation and Pixelation Sequences. The Characters are made up of differently structured materials representing different Instruments. Whereas the story draws upon the Lyrics of the Song reflecting topics like diversity and humanity in the music business.
The parts I did by myself were: animating the character of the bug and the forest & city scapes as well as doing color correction during the post-production process. Concept, animatic, production and post-production were done as a group, where everybody did a bit of everything.
This was my first group project and I enjoyed it a lot. It was amazing to see how much we could learn from each other and we were all happy how it turned out. Furthermore the audience at the Vienna Independent Short Film Festival enjoyed it as well and we won the airbed audience award! Hoot, hoot!
